History
MCD Appraisals (Formerly South Sask Equipment Appraisers) was founded in 2011 by Kim Davis. After taking early retirement from the insurance company and brokerage world, Kim, a red seal journeyman mechanic, received a call from an industry colleague asking if he was interested in assisting them by providing an opinion on the cause of failure for an equipment claim. What started out as one assignment, soon multiplied into many assignments from a wide variety of insurance companies and a full-time commitment for the following ten years. At the end of 2021, Kim decided it was time to fully retire and he sold his company to McDougall Auctioneers Ltd.
Kim remained with SSEA / McDougall for 2022, assisting with and training additional staff and expanding the area of operation to Northern Saskatchewan & Manitoba.
With McDougall's four branch offices (Regina, Saskatoon, Brandon, Winnipeg), MCDA is well-positioned to provide professional cause of failure analysis' and equipment appraisal services to the insurance industry.
